Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25, 1970) is an American former tight end in the NFL. Gonzalez was a player in the National Football League from 1997 through 2003. He is one of the NFL's most effective tight ends, and the third best overall receivers, he has been named the NFL's leading tight end in terms of receptions, yards he has received, made, etc.
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst for FOX sports studio. Gonzalez is a regular on FOX NFL KICKOFF since the start of the NFL's season in 2017. The hour-long pregame show is a precursor to FOX NFL Sunday that airs every Sunday beginning at 11 AM ET throughout the NFL Season.
Gonzalez was released by the Falcons on March 15 2013, for a deal worth $14 million over two years, even though he claimed that he was going to retire after the season. With the retirement of Randy Moss, 37-year-old Gonzalez spent his last season as the leader of the NFL's active players in receiving yards.
